It went together fairly easy. All parts were included. It's sturdy enough, but then MDF is pretty sturdy, especially for a senior cat. The carpet is that awful fake fur, not carpet. I didn't look closely enough at the picture, although I don't think my cat will be sleeping in it because the bed is small. It does do the job I needed it for, which is easily gets her up to the windowsill. For that purpose, and if you have a smaller cat, I will definitely recommend it.The tree itself is fine. Reasonably stable and a good size for a senior kitty.The instructions are basically nothing more than a parts list that doesn't even differentiate between carpet posts and sisal posts. There is nothing to indicate the order of assembly. Order is important for attaching the stairs.I love this easy to climb cat tree except that the bed has soft sides and really is better suited for smaller cats. My 13 pound tabby doesn’t fit very well and since the sides of the bed are soft, he ends up stretching that sides out oddly - where in harder sided beds, he just squishes himself in.I got this for my Mom's senior cat who loves to lay by the window. My Mom (96) was having to pick her up and down each time. You may have to help your senior cat figure out the steps, but I am happy we got this for her cat.This cat tree mimics one I had purchased a couple of years ago and my kidden loved it. The only reason I was looking to replace it is she destroyed the legs scratching on it. This cat tree however is made much much much cheaper than her original one and she knows it. She does not care for this one. The differences from top to bottom is that the nesting spot is smaller and has soft sides instead of the hard sturdy sides, the steps do not have the scratch pads, and the legs are substantially thinner. At first I thought I would just replace her trees legs with the new tree legs but they go together differently. A cat that didn’t know better was out there would probably be ecstatic about but mine is like heck no.The only thing I would like is a little bigger laying area in the top. My 13 yr. cat can get in it but is tighter than she likes. Maybe the company sells an option to swap it out with.I absolutely love this cat tree. Its perfect for senior cats who can't really jump as high, so they use the "stair-like" steps to climb. Assembly was a little challenging, but once its together, boy does is it feel sturdy! My cats are fairly small, weighing in at about 12 pounds. The cat bed on the top fits them pretty well. If you have a bigger cat the bed may be a bit small, so keep that in mind. Just read the measurements- it's exactly as described.Bought this as I have two 12 week old kittens with a condition called Cerbral Hypoplasia (also known as 'wobbly kitty' syndrome!) so they cant jump really but as with all kittens are full of beans! They love this and the small height between layers is just what they need- its early days but day by day more and more of the post is being explored. Went together really easily despite poor instructions (think Ikea flat pack furniture style!)Ive knocked a star off as I think it would benefit from being catnip scented to encourage them to play but a little spray I have did the trick and it is very large, but again I think this is necessary due to the target audience needing a little more supportGreat productOnly 1 of my 3 cats will use it. Ich habe diesen Kratzbaum mit Bauchschmerzen gekauft, da ich mir nicht sicher war, dass sie ihn nutzt. Doch es war die richtige Entscheidung. Der Kratzbaum steht ganz sicher und fest, sodass die Katze ein sicheres Gefühl hat. Er wird heiß geliebt. Die Katze liegt fast nur noch im Körbchen oben auf dem Kratzbaum.Aufgrund von vielen guten Rezensionen haben wir uns für diesen Kratzbaum für unsere Katze entschieden. Leider bin ich enttäuscht von mangelnden Qualität. Und bei so einem hohen Preis und eigentlich bekannte Marke noch viel mehr als sonst. Da haben wir halb so teure Kratzbäume schon gekauft und die haben einige Jahre funktioniert ohne dabei kaputt zu gehen (außer Sisal, natürlich). Leider kann ich daher den Kratzbaum nur bedingt empfehlen und hoffe nun dass wir defekten Stamm ersetzt bekommen und dass Kratzbaum hält dann wenigstens 1 - 2 Jahre... Den ganzen Kratzbaum zurück schicken zu müssen wäre echt ärgerlich, da er sehr-sehr schwer ist.24.04.19 Den kompletten Kratzbaum haben wir ganz schnell umgetauscht bekommen, dank Amazon Service. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle an Amazon Mitarbeiter, DHL und Hermes.11.05.19 Stoff löst sich langsam auf den Platten (da wo die Nähte sind) und auch Sisalstoff am Stamm hängt schon stellenweise lose in der Luft (nicht vernünftig befestigt, nehme ich an).Wenn er fertig da steht ist er gut. Bis dahin ist es ein steiniger Weg. Die Anleitung ist schlichtweg falsch, darin steht klar, die runde Platte käme nach oben, was einfach nicht stimmt. Ohne selbst ein Foto des fertigen Kratzbaums auszudrucken oder das Handy daneben liegen zu haben geht garnichts. Das Paket war kaputt und mehrfach wieder zugeklebt, was ich jetzt mal DHL anlaste. Glücklicherweise waren aber alle Teile da. Wenn man die obere Platte richtig festdreht steht leider in der Mitte die Schraube etwa einen halben cm raus. Ob meine Katzen das stört werde uch sehen. Ansonsten ist er wirklich stabil und bringt den Katzen sicherlich viel Abwechslung.
