Cats seemed to like it especially when I first got it. Right now they aren’t using it as much as I hoped. There are three levels but the bottom one has no no bottom piece. The floor is the bottom but it does have a pad just like the other two levels. If you move it I would lift it as if you push it it will leave white marks on your floor.Very elegant but stable cat condo ;) Perfect for modern interior.Easy to assemble.Our cat doesn’t like anything that’s new and fun or that squeaks, or things that suddenly move or boxes, we where bummed our cat didn’t like to squeeze herself into tiny boxes for our pleasure and hers, but we’ve copped with her not liking anything that we consider fun so now we have a different place that’s got a lot of open but safe entries with comfortable mats and above ground so she could look down her nose at our two dogs looking up. So it may sit there for a day, a week or even a few weeks before she ventured in or she may go right in and hang out. The cat condo was a simple matter to put together. The instructions were informative and easy to read and understand and and the pictures helped me immediately with its construction. Great care was given so no scratches from shipping occurred on the white sides because they would stick out hugely. So very good for shipping. Not nothing, not even a dot of discoloring. Moving it to its final location was a little tricky because it’s not nailed or glued but just gravity is holding it together. It’s very modern looking like some futuristic condos look in places I’ve been. It is MDF with a laminate coat for looks. If the cat likes it or not the cost just doesn’t fit what it is and a quick look at cat condos confirmed this as the many I looked at were huge in comparison with towers and multiple decks for hanging out. But it’s a minimalist dream and a cat’s nightmare because it’s so minimalistic. However, It’s here to stay and I’ll update and hopefully get pictures of her in it or on it soon. The quality is there as cats aren’t to heavy so MDF is just fine and it’s not going to be constantly moved so longevity won’t be a issue as well. Update (27 September 2020) Added picture and text. She likes it! It took about four days of walking past it for her to give it a try, we’ve since moved it into our room so she’s closer to us at night. She’s very old and fragile. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!Absolutely no tools and no hardware is needed for assembly. Definitely one of my favorite features of this cat tower. The wood all fits together like a puzzle and locks.It reminds me of a piece from IKEA.The wooden pieces are all finished with a smooth, bright white. The wooden pieces of real color of wood is only seen in the notched pieces. Nothing is noticeable once the pieces have all been fit together. Overall, the cat tower is the white veneer exterior.One observation I made while assembling the cat tower is that the veneer can be chipped off. I did not have my boards completely aligned and a piece of the white veneer popped off. It was just in the seam of the cat tower, so not extremely noticeable, but I noticed it since I did it. That being said, I completely assume responsibility of the chipping veneer. My recommendation learning that and going forward in the rest of the assembly was to be more careful and be sure that each piece was more straight before trying to force them together. Even a second pair of hands may be helpful to hold pieces together while assembling.There are three potential beds in this cat tower. The cushions are a square shape. They are a medium gray color which coordinates nicely with the white of the cat tower. The bottom and middle level have large boxes surrounding the cats while the top tower has a more raised edge. My cats are older and not as fun as a kitten, but I can see kittens enjoying popping in and out of the holes . It has the potential to be very playful cat tower as well as a nice napping spot.The bottom level/floor has no wood bottom so the cushion sits directly on the floor. I would like to see a bottom piece for easier maneuverability. I assembled this in my garage and wanted to move it afterwards. Looking back, I should have assembled it in the room I wanted to leave it in. It was awkward but not impossible. I believe with a bottom wood piece, that would have been easier to do. The lack of a bottom wood piece does not affect stability. It’s still very stable and my toddler tested that before we gave it to the cats.This is a really well made piece of cat furniture that goes together easily, stays put, but can be taken apart easily too. Quality craftsmanship. A bit of a high price tag.This was bigger looking in person than what I was expecting. Some cat beds look great but won't really hold a full grown adult cat. This one has ample room. Even my 17 pound dog climbed in the bottom with plenty of room.This is very heavy wood so it's not going to get knocked over by a cat. It was pretty easy to put together. No tools were required. You just slide the top and bottom connector sides into the slots. There is no wooden bottom to this. You just place the 1" cushion pad on the space in the bottom.The hammock on top was easy to install. I thought at first I would have to tie it on but it's designed so that it has one thick tie in each corner that you put into the top of the slot and then thread it through a hole below. I thought for sure that this would not hold but I was wrong and the hammock stays in place.The fabric on the pad and the hammock is durable and seems like it won't stain easily and can be wiped off or washed if need be.Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks
