I bought this item prior to my cat undergoing a procedure where she would have to stay in the pet hospital for 3 days. I checked ahead of time to be sure the cage would be big enough to accommodate it. I set it up in the house a few weeks before, and she wasn't interested in it. But I sent it with her to the hospital and the staff said she used it all the time when she was there, so I'm glad I purchased it.I got this for my chihuahua because she loves to curl up in small spaces. She loved it immediately. It’s sturdy and stays upright when she’s in it.I was surprised by how small this house is (granted I did not review the measurements prior to purchasing). Material wise, everything looks great. I have two kittens and they snuggle in their other cat cave but this one will definitely only fit one of them. Lastly, the ball on the string is fun (they’ve played with it a few times), but it hits their head when they enter the bed, so I imagine that might bother them.A little aggravated it came without the cushion.My ckitten loves to jump in it and play with the ball!!My cat enjoys taking his naps in the cat cave tent house.My cat weighs less than 9 lbs., but this bed was too small for her. No room to move around. I left it on the floor for a couple of days to see what she'd do. She ignored it except for one time when she looked inside, thought about it for a minute, and then walked away. So much for that....Not very sturdy.
