Pure nostalgia.I got myself all nice and cosy, made sure all the children were in bed and that the wife had a nice large glass of Pinot Grigio. I slipped these lovely DVD's into the machine and just laid back and watched. Sometimes you have to open your eyes and ears, close your mouth and relax.I haven't seen the films for years; last time I watched was on an old TV set. I fully appreciate the techies finding fault in the sound and film quality but seriously, what do you expect, they are old films? I, personally, was entirely satisfied. If I have a criticism it would be with the film/ DVD producers; why can't I buy, lets say, all the DVD's of Bob Hope. If that is not acceptable, why not, say, allow people to buy all Bob Hope films from the 50's in a box set. They mess around; no wonder pirate web sites thrive. They haven't got it yet that there has been a paradigm shift with supply and delivery.All I want to do is collect the rest of BOB Hope films; what a genius. Further I loved the stage sets and fellow actors/ actresses; truly a golden age of cinematography.
